Anas ibn Malik reported: A man stood up while the Prophet was delivering a sermon and he said, “We are drowning, so please call upon your Lord to withhold it from us.” The Prophet smiled and he said three times, “O Allah, let it rain around us and not upon us.” The clouds started dispersing over Medina to the right and left, and it rained around Medina and not upon Medina. Allah showed them the miracle of His Prophet and His response to his supplication. : Sahih Bukhari 5742.
Asalamu alaykum wa Rahma to Allah,
To the Imams in America,
May I remind you of your duty to the American people?
كُنتُمۡ خَيۡرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخۡرِجَتۡ لِلنَّاسِ تَأۡمُرُونَ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَتَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنڪَرِ وَتُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِۗ وَلَوۡ ءَامَنَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡڪِتَـٰبِ لَكَانَ خَيۡرً۬ا لَّهُمۚ مِّنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ وَأَڪۡثَرُهُمُ ٱلۡفَـٰسِقُونَ
Ye are the best community that hath been raised up for mankind. Ye enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency; and ye believe in Allah. And if the People of the Scripture had believed it had been better for them. Some of them are believers; but most of them are evil-livers
America is in crisis because of what they have earned, and Allah has send the rain on them either as a Mercy or as a Punishment, and this was one of the cases in Madina when the people suffered from drought, and the Prophet prayed for rain, and it came in abundance, and the rest of the Hadeeth is known. So the Hadeeth above was the result of that situation.
) قُلۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تُحِبُّونَ ٱللَّهَ فَٱتَّبِعُونِى يُحۡبِبۡكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡ ذُنُوبَكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ۬ رَّحِيم
Say, (O Muhammad, to mankind): If ye love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. (3 -31)
Donald Trump your President may provide financial help, but you the Imams have to provide the solution to this problem of excessive rain by going back to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (sws) and invoke Allah’s mercy upon the people, and for this you will claim neither reward or fame, instead we will be grateful to Allah for accepting our Dawah, and as a Dawah to the people.
